October 26th, 2012

Been a roller coaster of a weather week, wednesday and thursday upper 70s setting records and breezy, now Friday high of 48 and sunny, typical Michigan never boring.

Spent a coupe days in the after noon weaving a lincoln rocking chair out on my worktable outside so I could enjoy the sun and warmth, probly the last of that till spring,
now I am just putting the finishing touch on the rocker putting the binder around the edge to cover up the wooden holes.
and put out this 6 matching autum cups and saucers with matching cream and sugar along with 2 matching ash trays, and a single plate, kind of a mid century modern feel to it with the cream and sugar and the style of paint work.

also just got in more corks to make wine bottle stoppers out of knobs, as these make a nice host gift, as well Christmas gifts.

Well it is Saturday and I am in the store, its cold and rainy outside
so I have been rearanging the store a bit, so here is the kitchen utensils and pans, regrouped.
and the front corner of the store with a couple lamps lit, still some things just sitting around
a shot of the front window
the rest of the 1 show room window of the store.
had one chair caned already and got the 2nd one done so the cutomer can come pick up these two chairs and the desk chair that I reglued next week, I had thought these were a matched pair, but they were not,
and now the next project, recane the back of this lincoln rocking chair, already did the seat, now get the back done. Now to start weaving again!
had a lady bring in a couple of kero lamps for ceiling lamps she wanted converted into electric, so she can use them easy and safe. so I converted them
and they have the fabric covered electric cord and old style plug.
I had a 28 inch LeClerc loom in the front show room window, with a skeleton for Halloween, but some one bought it and took it home with them.

Been busy, now the shows are over for the year, the last Allegan show the weather was great!

now I have to empty the trailer out, clean up the store where every thing got moved to when the windows were redone and we came back from the antique show,

brothers were down the week ahead of the show and tore out the previous show room windows, and redid them 1 is ready for holloween and the other one is ready for the harvest festivals coming up,
close up of the back of the chair
This is a neat eastlake porch rocking chair that I redid the back on took a little figuring to figure out what type of weave went into the back as there was none in it when it was dropped off, I tried a couple of different options did not like what they looked like and this one looked good. So I did it.

I have been busy listing items on esty for sale and wrapping up packages for orders
 as well as caning chairs

You can always stop by my Esty shop and see what is available
